CHASE MASTERSON HEADLINES CAST OF MICHAEL BURNETT'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT FEATURE FILM "CREATURE UNKNOWN"

Beverly Hills, CA (June 19, 2002) - Chase Masterson (Sci-fi Channel's Terminal Invasion and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) leads the cast in Creative Light Entertainment's upcoming special effects feature film, Creature Unknown in which special effects artist Michael Burnett will make his directorial debut. The coming of age horror film centers on a weekend reunion of friends that becomes a confrontation with an incredible, inhuman creature as a group of young adults are forced to face the terrible sins of their past.

In addition to making his directorial debut, Michael Burnett will design and create the special effects for the film's title character. Burnett has worked for years in special effects make-up for both television and feature films, with credits including: Star Trek Nemesis, Not Another Teen Movie, Enterprise and Voyager,among many others.

Joining Chase Masterson for Creature Unknown is a very talented cast, including: Chris Hoffman, who will be co-staring in HBO's upcoming feature film Pavement with Lauren Holly; Maggie Grace of FOX's upcoming Septuplets series, Cory Hardrict (Crazy/Beautiful, Never Been Kissed), Betty Okino (MTV's Undressed and Olympic Bronze Medalist in gymnastics) and Kristin Herold (100 Girls and The Spot). Newcomers John Keyser and Ella Bowman round out the cast.

"The young talented cast, led by sci-fi icon Chase Masterson has truly dazzling chemistry," says producer Scott Zakarin. "I can't wait to see what director Michael Burnett can do with them."

Creature Unknown was written by Eric Mittleman and Scott Zakarin, and will be produced by Scott Zakarin and Eric Mittleman for Creative Light Entertainment. The film will be executive produced by Peter Jaysen and Rich Tackenberg. Creature Unknown was shot on high-definition 24P format, with production beginning June 27th in Los Angeles.

Chase Masterson as Dr. Kat McKenna

Chase Masterson is best known for her break-out role on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, one of the highest-rated internationally syndicated shows of all time. Chase's huge international fan base saw her rise from a 4-line role in one episode to a 5-year story arc, at which point USA Networks brought Chase on to host her own newsmagazine talk show on the Sci-Fi Channel. TV Guide online Readers' Poll voted Chase the #1 favorite science fiction actress on television, and Sci-Fi Universe Magazine honored Chase as one of the top 20 people to watch in Hollywood.

In the original Sci-Fi Channel Feature, "Terminal Invasion," Chase stars opposite Bruce Campbell as "alpha female" pilot Catherine Garrett. Chase currently hosts the teasing, irreverent, but always-in-the-know internet genre newsmagazine show, Sci-Fi Digital. Other feature work includes recurring roles on General Hospital and as the featured guest star in the Emmy Award-winning episode of ER. In other television work, Chase caught UPN's eye with her recurring role on "Live Shot," and entertained Saturday night viewers with comedic banter as the Host of "Showtime Nighttime." Guest star credits include Sliders, a recurring guest role on Sci-Fi Vortex, and others, including co-host of NBC Saturday Night at the Movies.

On the big screen, Chase starred as Commanding Officer Callie O'Grady in Stephen King's thriller Frozen with Faith Ford, and as the title role in Marina, with Bridget Wilson. Chase made her feature film debut opposite Maxwell Caulfield in In a Moment of Passion, and was also the lead in Married People, Single Sex, as well as a brief role as Richard Lewis' girlfriend in Mel Brooks' Robin Hood, Men in Tights. Other feature film credits include leads in Digital Man and Sammyville, a reality-based thriller in which Chase stars as a driven child protective services worker.

Best of all, "Chase Masterson" was recently the answer to a question on Jeopardy!


Chris Hoffman as Steve

Chris Hoffman will be co-starring in HBO's upcoming feature film Pavement with Lauren Holly.

Other credits include rolls on The Gilmore Girls, Joan of Arc, and The Pretender.


Maggie Grace as Amanda

Maggie Grace can be seen in FOX's upcoming pilot series, Septuplets.


Cory Hardrict as Lance

Cory Hardrict's credits include Crazy/Beautiful, Never Been Kissed, Soul Searching, The District, That's Life and NYPD Blue.


Betty Okino as Coral

Betty Okino's credits include MTV's Undressed, Off Centtre, The District, The Andy Dick Show, and Moesha.

Betty was also the Bronze medal winner in Gymnastics in Barcelona, Spain.


John Keyser as Sean

John Keyser is making his film debut in Inhuman.

John has appeared in theater in The Maids, Fool for Love, and What the Butler Saw.


Kristin Herold as Ally

Kristen Herold has appeared in 100 Girls and The Spot.


Ella Bowman as Rachael

Ella is also a newcomer. Her credits include Ready When You Are, Bathory and Cappucino.
